LUOMOA WAS BORN out of a desire to build interiors faster,more cost-effectively,more flexibly,more beautifully and more ecologically.The elements are made of certified wood-based raw materials,both recycled and recyclable materials.The raw materials are primarily Finnish wood and processed wood products.Only the ash and oak are shipped from Central Europe.The components are designed and manufactured in Finland.Luomoa's CEO Mika Vihavainen says that the company's products contribute towards a solution to the productivity problems of the construction industry."We're aiming to change the construction industry from within.The industry's productivity currently stands as low as 10-20 per cent,and roughly 70 per cent of time on site is spent on unnecessary waiting.Our method halves the lead time of construction and multiplies a building's lifecycle,"says Vihavainen.
