Atheta (Alaobia) linderi (Brisout de Barneville, C., 1863) (Staphylinidae: Aleocharinae) in Britain

Atheta (Alaobia) linderi (Brisout de Barneville, C.) is not included in the standard works on northern and central European Aleocharinae: Athetini (Palm, 1970; Benick & Lohse, 1974). The purpose of this paper is to give a full account of its discovery in Britain, identification characters and habitat preferences, in order to help coleopterists find and identify this species.
