BIM (building information modelling) has totally changed the way designers, and lighting designers, design, model and adjust schemes prior to going on site, as a recent project for a new cyber security centre in the West Midlands has shown. Over the past few years, BIM (building information modelling) has transformed how lighting designers, architects and others are able to plan, model and adjust building designs and lighting schemes before getting to site. The potential and flexibility of this still relatively new technology was recently illustrated in the construction of a state-of-the-art cyber security centre at the University of Wolverhampton.
