European longs prices have moderated their recent increases this month, with prices mostly stable to slightly higher m/m. Steelmakers have continued to push for higher prices but have come up against resistance in the market. European longs prices have tempered their rise following January's increases, and prices in February were assessed as stable to slightly higher m/m. Service centres have resisted further price increases as end-user demand and sale-side prices fall. As a result, some mills with particularly high offers have moderated them again, bringing them back to market levels.
