Trading restrictions on Russian crude and fuels have increased the risk of disruption to global markets, Chevron chief executive Mike Wirth said on 6 March . Refined products are being shipped longer distances as the market adapts to the EU ban on Russian products that took effect last month, Wirth said at the CERAWeek by S&P Global conference in Houston, Texas. That will test the capacity of the global freight system until more ships are built, he said.
