THE market for floating production, storage and offloading vessels is booming, with Netherlands-based player SBM Offshore predicting 35 FPSO contracts could be awarded over the next three years. However, company officials are also concerned that rising costs over the past two years have driven up the price of an FPSO by about one-third.
