ZnO in piglet diets: what does the literature show about Zinc homeostasis in blood

Welcome to the first issue of Animine series of articles to review scientific literature on the effects of pharmacological dosage of zinc oxide (ZnO) in weaned piglets’ diets.In the European Union, medicated ZnO will be totally banned from June 2022. It is interesting to note that also abroad there is’a growing number of countries following this tendency, such as China, where the supplementation of pharmacological levels ofZnO is already restricted.
