A blackcap sang its soft, warbling song, answered by another somewhere in the distance. A hawthorn was bursting into frothy/blossom, while the unmistakable coconut odour of gorse wafted through the spring air. I caught sight of a frog floating on a shallow pond, before it sank beneath the surface with a gentle plop.
