Survey shows growth in North American PU production through pandemic

Washington, DC - The US Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI), part of the American Chemistry Council (ACC), has announced the results of its three-year survey into the PU industry in the US, Canada and Mexico. Its report, 2027 End-Use Market Survey on the Polyurethanes Industry in the United States, Canada and Mexico, indicates PU production grew by 1.6% between 2018 and 2021 to more than 9.4 million lb (42641). In the US specifically, PU production rose in several major product segments between 2018 and 2021. with the most significant growth in rigid foam.
