Stretch has become popular for outer fabrics, but former outer fabrics had only 1-2% stretch, so when the garment is worn, stretch concentrates on the outer fabric to produce a feeling of pressure, and the seams of the lining slip. Under these circumstances, demands for providing stretch to the lining as well are growing, and methods for adding horizontal elongation of more than 15% include the application of false-twisted yarn or conjugated yarn made from polyester fibers, and the application of PTT (polytrimethylene terephthalate) fibers.
