Saudi Arabia to develop new oil-to-chemical project in the Eastern Province

Saudi Basic Industries Corporation is undertaking a study into developing a petrochemicals complex to convert 400,000 b/d of crude oil into petrochemicals, it said Nov. 24 in a disclosure to the local Tadawul stock exchange. The plant would be located in Ras al-Khair, also known as Minerals Industrial City, 60 km north of Jubail in the kingdom’s oil-rich eastern province.
