Magnetization process caused by magnetic domain wall displacement in soft magnetic materials such as Si steel is discussed. Magnetic loss induced by alternating magnetic fields is introduced. The total loss is decomposed into the sum of hysteresis, classical eddy current, and anomalous eddy current components according to the space-time scales of the energy dissipation. The loss mechanism of each component is discussed separately.
