The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported a 41 Bcf build for the week ended Jul. 29, bringing the volume of working natural gas in storage to 2,457 Bcf. It was a surprisingly robust reOll well above analysts' expectations for a 29 Bcf build. It also knocked the wind out Wednesday's sudden 56c rally to $8.266 per million Btu late in Wednesday's session on word that Freeport LNG was preparing for an October restart — much sooner than many expected.
