CNOOC International has boosted output at its Golden Eagle field in the UK central North Sea after completing a four-well infill drilling campaign.The wells, located in the central area of the field, "exceeded subsurface expectations and have added significant, immediate production", the company stated.In 2019, CNOOC International's share of production at Golden Eagle was 12,300 barrels of oil equivalent per day, based on its 36.54% operating interest, according to company accounts.The jack-up Noble Sam Hartley started drilling the new probes - G16, G17, G18, G19 - in August 2020 and the final well - G19 - was brought on stream on 5 June.Craig Paveley, vice president of developments at CNOOC International, said: "We are delighted with the Golden Eagle infill campaign, which was completed safely, ahead of schedule and under budget.
