ADNOC Drilling said June 6 it has purchased two offshore rigs for $220 million, further advancing towards a target of reaching 142 units by 2024 in support of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company’s production plans. The company has almost doubled its fleet of offshore jackup rigs since early 2021, “with further significant expansion expected” through the end of 2024, it said. It had a total of 115 owned rigs as of March 31.
