Trichius fosciatus (Linnaeus) (Scarabaeidae) new to Ayrshire

On 26 July 2022 I noticed a photograph of Trichius fasciatus (Linnaeus), posted by William Sherry, on the 'Ayrshire Nature' Facebook page. The beetle had been seen on 12 July at Lanfine Estate, near Darvel in East Ayrshire (NS5636). The photograph shows it feeding on clover Trifolium. The record was posted on iRecord but with the incorrect grid reference, NS63.
