Coke prices slip on lower China demand

The fob US Gulf coast 6.5pc sulphur coke price fell on the week again as demand remained relatively stable and some sellers ofoaded December-loading cargoes, while US Gulf coast mid-sulphur coke reversed its prior gains on slowing Chinese interest. High-sulphur coke eased by a further $2.50/t on the week as deals settled on a cfr basis netted back to the low-$130s/t on an fob basis. Two high-sulphur coke deals may also have been closed at $130/t fob or lower, but this could not be con-frmed.
