George Karavantos reports from Tanagra, a year after the Rafales touched down on Greek soil, opening a new chapter for the base. Apart from its United States-built fighters, Greece has been a customer of French fighters since 1975 to maintain the tactical advantage over the skies of the Aegean Sea. On January 19, 2022, six Rafale fighters were introduced into Hellenic Air Force (HAF) service when they landed for the first time on runway 28 of Tanagra AB, starting a new chapter in the big history book of the HAF.
