Indian Dairy Association organized the World Milk Day on June 1, 2022. Dr. G.S. Rajorhia informed that the demand for milk and milk products is increasing among the consumers, world over. The event was organized for increasing and spreading the awareness about the nutritive value of milk. At present, 500 million people in India are suffering from deficiency of micronutrients. 100 million people are suffering from other diseases due to deficiency of nutrients. Poverty, malnutrition and micronutrient deficiencies are of great concern, world over. Due to the deficiency of vitamin D, heart related ailments, diabetes and kidney problems are increasing. By consuming milk and milk products, we can overcome such deficiencies to a greater extent.
