I have been building a 1275cc engine to fit into my Mini for some time and I am now at the point of choosing the cam. The engine block has been bored +0.060" and the crank reground. I will be fitting a Stage 3 head and probably a single SU HIF44 carb or twin 1 1/2" SUs. Cam-wise I am thinking of fitting a Kent camshaft, probably a 266, or do you think a classic 948 would be better? If I upgrade the cam to a Kent camshaft, should I upgrade the distributor at the same time?
