Another key player in long-distance deployments, an Airbus MRTT Phenix from the 31 st EARTS (Aerial Air Refueling and Strategic Transport Wing) was also involved from the first day of the exercise by ferrying the Rafales from France. A first step took the formation to Al Dhafra's Base Aerienne 104 in the United Arab Emirates. After a night's rest, everyone left for Jodhpur. Once it arrived, the Airbus spent a night there before returning to the UAE, from where it then left to ferry an aircraft to the Jakarta Air Show in Indonesia.
