LME of-warrant stocks decrease in September

Total of-warrant stocks on the London Metal Exchange (LME) fell on the month in September, driven by declines in copper, aluminium and nickel, fgures released by the exchange show. Of-warrant stocks for the whole base metal complex fell by 17.2pc on the month to 673,599t at the end of September, the lowest such volume of of-warrant stocks reported since the LME began collating the data in February 2020. Figures are reported voluntarily by market participants, meaning there could be more material that is unreported.
