ON AUGUST 20, the United States Air Force (USAF) officially reactivated the 60th Fighter Squadron 'Fighter Crows' at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, as a F-35A Lightning II unit under the 33rd Fighter Wing - itself a component of the 19th Air Force, Air Education and Training Command. With the unit's first airframes expected to arrive this autumn, the squadron will plan and execute a training curriculum in support of USAF training requirements for the F-35A.
