LUXEMBOURG headquartered Tenaris has been lined up to supply casing for Petrobras' deep-water Buzios pre-salt oil and gas project offshore Brazil. Petrobras has awarded Tenaris a four-year contract for the supply of a comprehensive package of products and services, that will include more than 100,000 tonnes of seamless and welded casing in carbon, sour service and high collapse steel grades. "Major energy companies, including Petrobras, have validated the fatigue performance of conductor casing with Tenar-isHydril BlueDock connectors. The BlueDock connectors now come with the new automatic anti-rotational keys, designed to allow multiple automatic and hands-free activation, and not requiring the use of special tools," Tenaris said.
