In the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre at East Kirkby, during the first week of December, the rear fuselage of Avro Lancaster Ⅶ NX611/ G-ASXX Just Jane was removed at the transport joint for what is thought to be the first time since the bomber rolled off the production line at the Austin factory in Longbridge, Birmingham during April 1945. After the severely limited 2020 taxiing season was completed, NX611 entered the East Kirkby hangar for its annual six months of winter maintenance and restoration as work continues to get the bomber - one of just four complete examples of the type remaining in the UK - back into the air.
