Crude oil production in the US held steady at 12.9 million b/d in the week ended Sep.29,according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).The EIA rounds its weekly estimates of US crude production as well as output from the lower 48,which includes major shale plays and the US Gulf of Mexico,to the nearest 100,000 b/d.Lower 48 production also remained unchanged at 12.5 million b/d last week.According to the agency's monthly production data,which is generally more thorough and accurate but published with a two-month lag,US oil output averaged 12.991 million b/d in July,just 9,000 b/d shy of the all-time high of 13 million b/d established in November 2019.
