Indonesian coal prices firmed further on the week, though trades were few and far between, and the bid-offer gap remained wide. Wet weather has returned in parts of South Kalimantan, which in weeks prior enjoyed a shortlived bout of drier weather. “Buyers are holding out for softer prices but the supply side is still very tight. Rainfall intensity in South Kalimantan has been extreme,” said a source from a key low-rank miner.
