In traditional construction, individual products are fabricated in a shop, shipped to the job site, and assembled in the field by installers. In modular construction, a fagade component is fabricated and pre-assembled off-site to the dimensions of the room or building module. Once assembled, then the remaining structure, mechanical, interior finishes, etc., are installed before the entire module is shipped to the job site. In unitized construction, wall assemblies are fabricated, assembled and glazed in a factory environment before being shipped to the job site for installation.
