Holcim ups prices to cover higher energy costs

Cement producer Holcim plans to further increase using alter- native fuels and up its sales prices after facing a steep rise in frst quarter costs, partially from petroleum coke. Holcim’s frst quarter energy costs, including expenses for fuel and power, grew by about 41pc compared to a year earlier. The cement maker expects further infation in 2022, which it plans to ofset mainly by raising product prices.
