摘要

Deep eutectic solvents (DESs), which are considered as a new kind of greensolvents, have been adopted for the synthesis of diverse functional materials.Herein, DESs synthesis is used to solve the problem of easy hydrolysis andoxidation of the emerging optical functional groups Sb~(3+) cations, producingthree novel antimony chloride oxalates named A_2Sb(C_2O_4)Cl_3 (A = NH_4, K,Rb). The three title compounds feature noncentrosymmetric structures consistedof [Sb(C_2O_4)Cl_3]~(2–) anionic clusters, which induce excellent linear andnonlinear optical properties of them. Particularly, Rb_2Sb(C_2O_4)Cl_3 exhibits astrong nonlinear optical response that is 2.1 times that of KH_2PO_4, as well aslarge calculated birefringence of 0.22@546 nm, indicating that antimony oxalatesare promising optical materials. This work affords an effective strategyto settle the difficulties in crystallization of the materials including cationswith low oxidation state and easy hydrolysis.
