There's no better place to see and appreciate the latest aircraft types from the world's manufacturers. I've been visiting the Salon since 1967; not regularly every two years, but nevertheless fairly frequently, especially while I was living in France in the '80s. During that time, I've seen aircraft that clearly had a great future ahead of them, some that might or might not achieve sales success, and others that never seemed even to have a chance of making it past the prototype stage.
