pp. 160-163: The images are the result of Jacques Simons last period of work, when all his actions became temporary, short, and intense. During that time his life was a continuum journey of workshops, symposiums, events, talks, and all kind of collaborations, held organically and playfully. With his friend the farmer next door, he drew the landscape itself. Simon would walk or run in front of a tractor to make a temporary drawing on the fields. He would mow, make fire, or move the bales of straw around. He would enjoy the fact of doing as much as the fact of seeing his work disappear and merge with the surrounding conditions due to the climatic events, wind, or new regrowth after his perturbations... He became a hyperlocal playful agent that would react to the wind, snow, mud, and enjoy like a child, the disappearance of his mark due to the passing of time. He knew production and disappearance go together and are an indivisible part of the cycle of life.
