Magnetic resonance originates from the fact that the magnetic moment accompanies the angular momentum. First, the Larmor precession, which is the movement of magnetic moment in a magnetic field, is presented. To describe energy dissipation and dephasing of the precession, spin-lattice relaxation time, T_1,and spin-spin relaxation time, T_2, are introduced. Various kinds of magnetic resonance, such as electron spin paramagnetic resonance (EPR),ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) including spin wave resonance, and ferri- and antiferromagnetic resonance (AFMR) are discussed. Some phenomena in magnetic resonance such as shifts of resonance frequency, the shape and width of resonance lines, motional narrowing, and the spin echo method are also discussed.
