A SUKHOI Su-25K Frogfoot-A close air support aircraft belonging to the Azerbaijan Air Force (AzAF) carried out a flight test with two 1,000lb Wing Assisted Guidance Kit-83 (KGK-83) precision-guided bombs at Konya Air Base, Turkey, on May 10. During the 51-minute mission, the Frogfoot dropped a single KGK-83 from under its starboard wing. The mission was witnessed by media assembled at Konya for Exercise Anatolian Eagle 23, which included a further two AzAF-operated Su-25K Frogfoot-As with mission markings from the war with Armenia in 2020. Acting as a chase aircraft for the test flight was the upgraded F-16C Ozgur (Liberty) prototype, which had arrived from Turkish Aerospace (TUSAS) in Ankara, Turkey, earlier that day (see page 15).
