Growing up in an analogue world, I witnessed the initially slow, but increasingly accelerating digitalisation of our world and working environment. Going to university in 1981, the first signs were already apparent. I vividly remember my first exploits at basic programming and computing in an 'end-user friendly' DOS-environment. The internet and mobile communication devices were to follow in the 90s. When I started my first job, I actually had a car kit in my lease car, large enough to fit inside a briefcase. Needless to say, those days are gone although at times I like to travel back in my memory. I guess this phenomenon comes with age.
