Luxury car maker Bentley Motors has announced that its first battery electric vehicle will be developed and built in the UK. The first in this new generation of electric Bentleys is scheduled to roll off the company's production line in Crewe in 2025 and the company is aiming to focus exclusively on electric vehicles by 2030. Commenting on the announcement, Justin Benson, partner and automotive sector specialist at management consultancy, Vendigital, said: "The investment at Crewe is great news for the UK's car industry, protecting jobs and securing the country's knowledge base in this fast-developing marketplace.
