Growing demand for road gasoline, E-10 lifted ethanol blending in Q1 2022

Fuel ethanol use by the refining industry in March 2022 reached around 123,700 cubic metres, up sharply from 102,700 one year earlier, official data (BAFA) show. The blending share averaged 6.7% vol., up from 5.7%. At the same time, consumption of Otto cycle fuels rose by 2.2% y/y.
