Pesticidal management of two spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae) infesting tomato under protected cultivation

The experiment on management of two spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae) infesting tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) under protected cultivation was conducted to study incidence and evaluate the efficacy of various pesticides with the treatments as acephate 75 SP, acetamiprid 20 SP, diafenthiuron 30 WP, spiromesifen 22.9 SC, Beauveria bassiana and neem oil (1%) including untreated control at High-tech Unit of Department of horticulture, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, MPUAT, Udaipur during kharif 2018. The mean population of mites ranged from 126.13 ± 45.56 while the maximum population (193) of mites, Tetranycus urticae were recorded during 38th SMW, 2018. Among all other treatments, diafenthiuron 30 WP was proved to be highly effective with62.38 mean per cent population reduction while neem oil @ 1% was observed as least effective with 35.31 per cent population reduction.
