DNV TACKLES DECARBONISATION OF NAVAL VESSELS

A White Paper published by classification society DNV in April 2022 has explored how naval vessels can minimise their environmental impact without affecting survivability or making them more vulnerable. Navies around the world are increasingly aware that they are affected by the same decarbonisation challenges facing the commercial maritime sector. However, to fulfil their purpose, naval vessels must also meet requirements which add complexity to the search for the most sustainable fuels.
