During 2022, pilot programs and government incentives for electric vehicle (EV) charging networks took off, laying the foundation for infrastructure expansion through 2023 and beyond. Several large fuel retailers announced plans to build out EV charging networks, while the federal government passed billions of dollars in funding to incentivize the use of EVs and to fill gaps in the charging infrastructure.
