The present invention provides grab handle assistance for any passenger entering the vehicle in an unconventional location, this is a manually assisted grab handle, a manual assist location that is recessed and integrated into the IP. This provides a clearly defined location, with positive grip features to grab, for occupants entering or exiting the vehicle. When the occupant opens the door the IP assist handle will be clearly seen, the occupant will need to push on the face of the handle for it to extend past the surface and allow the passenger to fully extend the handle. When the occupant is done using it, they will need to push it back in where it will engage the push/push mechanism and magnet to be set to the closed position.
