摘要

To improve the efficiency of complex structure simulation, the local nonuniform griding technique is investigated in the finite difference time domain (FDTD) solver, where the single field (SF) and hybrid implicit explicit (HIE) algorithms have been introduced. Some structures with fine details in one direction are simulated by using the proposed stratagem. Typically, the magnetic field for obtaining the sampled currents and far-field data is selectively updated to save memory and CPU time. Reflection error from the truncating boundary is decreased compared to the conventional FDTD method, as well as the stability is validated. Moreover, the original SF-HIE-FDTD updating procedures is modified to improve multithread computing efficiency. A layered rectangular dielectric resonator antenna and a microstrip bandpass filter models have been simulated. Results are in very good agreement with those from the conventional FDTD solver and from the commercial software, but up to 58.14% computation time is saved. Our proposed method is significant for the simulation of microwave circuit and antenna with fine structure, especially, the use of the nonuniform grid.
