The theory of increasing and convex along rays (ICAR) functions, defined on a convex cone in a locally convex topological vector space X, is well developed. In this article, we present a suitable extension of this theory for ICAR functions, defined on the whole of the space X. We also study the class of decreasing and convex along rays functions (DCAR).
