Purpose of Study: To investigate the most frequent causes of unsatisfactory outcomes of foot injury treatment among patients with isolated, multiple and multi-system trauma. Approach: This study included 216 patients who had received treatment at the Department of Multiple and Multi-System Trauma of the N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute for Emergency Medicine, from December 2013 to December 2016. Among the 216 patients, 129 were diagnosed with fractures of the calcaneus, 25 with fractures of the metatarsal bones and/or toes, 25 with fractures of the talus, 18 with Lisfranc joint lesions, 13 with fractures of the midfoot bones, and ten with multiple traumas in the foot. Early and late complications were considered while analyzing the data, and the Foot Function Index (FFI) score determined the functional outcome at six, 12 and 24 months.
