A project named Aqua Ludens aims to help stakeholders share insights into the importance of water, freshwater availability, and economic feasibility through what organizers call "serious gaming." The three year project was developed in the Dutch province of Groningen, and aimed to design a game that facilitates water education and interaction between members of the water industry. The game provides a set of rules, structures, and goals to enable players to swap roles in a safe environment.
