Ascend Acquires Formulated Polymers

Chennai— Ascend Performance Materials has finalized the purchase of Formulated Polymers, an engineered materials producer based in Chennai, India, for an undisclosed price. Ascend's Starflam flame-retardant engineered materials, currently being produced at the Chennai plant, will continue to be produced there, and the company is qualifying production of its other materials. This is Ascend's first production facility in South Asia, Ascend noted.
