SAG Slovakia, a wholly owned subsidiary of Salzburger Aluminium Group, has started production at its new site in the Sihot industrial park near Trencin. After 19 years at the Dubnica site, the change of location became necessary this year. Plant manager Andrej Cikel comments: “With the optimized infrastructure, we can further streamline procedures and make the production process even more efficient.” SAG Group invested €1.5m in the relocation, expansion and extended technical equipment. The new plant is located near the Czech-Austrian border and offers the company considerably larger capacities: with an area of more than 10,000 m2, the new plant has enough space to adapt to the increasing demand for special parts from manufacturers of special vehicles or the railway industry. The central location of the new site and the good connection to the main transport networks also bring environmental benefits through shortened transport routes.
