Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Railway Board Shri Vinay Kuamar Tripathi held a Safety Review Meeting with General Manager, North Eastern Railway Shri Anupam Sharma, Additional General Manager Shri Amit Kumar Agrawal, Principal Head of Departments, Divisional Rail Manager's of all three divisions on 5th March, 2022. Addressing the meeting Chairman, Railway Board Shri Vinay Kumar Tripathi said that Indian Railways is in transition period of change, therefore we need to change our working style, so that we can make the Indian Railways as the best organization. He added that Indian Railways owns strongest mechanism and appropriate resources alongwith capable and efficient work force which can be utilised to make the railways safer and faster. The pace of works needs to be doubly expedited to compensate the slowness caused by the Covid-19 for last two years.Speaking further Mr. Tripathi emphasized upon the deep analysis of failures pertaining to rail safety, it must be done on priority basis and remedial measures should be taken to improve it. Safety drive shall continue further. Shortfalls obtained during safety inspections should be dealt with utmost sincerity. Chairman, Railway Board while reviewing the action plan to increase revenue on March 6, 2022 said, the trains which are having excess occupancy should be augumented with extra coaches, keeping in view of demand and availability. To increase parcel loading, he insisted on extension of 'Door to Door' delivery facility in a planned manner. He vehemently stressed upon the ground level implementation of the useful suggestions discussed in the meeting. Thereafter, Chairman Railway Board inspected Multipurpose System Training Centre, Gorakhpur alongwith General Manager, North Eastern Railway.
