Heidelberg raises cement prices to ofset costs

Germany-based cement maker HeidelbergCement plans to con- tinue its price raising strategy to ofset steeply rising energy costs. Heidelberg’s energy costs rose by more than a quarter to €1.9bn ($2.1bn) in 2021 from €1.5bn in 2020, as prices for key fuels like petroleum coke and coal increased, in some cases to record highs.
