Total sales for laser cutting machines for medium and thick plates including gas,plasma,and fiber laser machines in fiscal 2021 dropped about 9% year on year to around ￥16 billion.The Covid-19 crisis in Japan and stagnation in the Chinese economy due to China's zero-Covid policy seem to have cooled down the market,particularly in the first half of the year.There were proposals to use subsidies,but in most cases,projects were not implemented without subsidies,leading to low adoption rates and a reduced willingness to invest.There were also delays in reception of parts and materials,with long delivery times 1.5 times normal or longer.Companies tried to foresee the probability of receiving orders in attempts to observe delivery dates by acquiring parts in advance.
